PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate working system which can lessen the frequency of defectives occurring due to a failure in arrangements for changing tools. SOLUTION: The plate working system is equipped with a plate working machine 1, a loader 2 and a control system for them. The control system is equipped with a means 12 for judging the necessity of the arrangement by comparing the information F2 necessary for the subsequent working step with the current information F1 memorized by a specified memorizing means 9. The control system is also equipped with a halt controlling means 18 for ceasing the delivery of the plate W by the loader 2 during the arrangements, in the case of judging that the arrangements becomes necessary. The plate working machine 1 means a punch press or the like which has a tool holding unit 32 such as a turret capable of holding a plurality of tools 36. The specified memorizing means 9 memorizes the current tool information F1 which is information on the tools 36 held by the tool holding unit 32. The means 12 judges that the arrangements becomes necessary, in the case where the subsequent working tool information F2 and the current tool information F1 are found to be different in comparison.
