USE OF COLLAGENASE TO FACILITATE GUIDE WIRE CROSSING IN TOTAL ARTERIAL OCCLUSIONS

Catheter device and balloon for delivering collagenase to an occlusion site. The shaft of the balloon and/or the balloon are relatively short for increased versatility, and leading end of the device can be for penetration of the occlusion. Collagenase can be delivered through lateral port in distal tip of balloon shaft or wire. Improved treatment of occlusion with improved collagenase is also described.
