<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security for data held within an image forming device such as a digital compound device. <P>SOLUTION: Job data 504a is enciphered with a common key 501a, the common key 501a is enciphered with a public key 502, and job data 504b enciphered and a common key 501b are associated with each other to be stored. Upon printing processing of the job data 504b, the common key 501b is transmitted to an IC card 1000 holding a private key 503 corresponding to the public key 502, the common key 501b deciphered by using the private key 503 is obtained from the IC card 1000, and the job data 504b is deciphered by using the deciphered common key 501a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
