<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for an exhaust gas purifying catalyst which can make the purifying performance by the catalyst uniform. <P>SOLUTION: The carrier 10 for the exhaust gas purifying catalyst having a plurality of flow passages 13 for allowing exhaust gas 1 to flow as well as for carrying a catalyst component is provided with communication holes 12a which are formed in the flow passages 13 and through which the neighboring flow passages 13 are allowed to communicate with each other and with guide projections 11a which guide a part of the exhaust gas 1 flowing through the flow passages 13 located in the center side at a cross-section along a direction perpendicular to the flow direction of the exhaust gas 1 so as to flow through the flow passages 13 located in the outer side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
