<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict a congested situation of a train with high precision in a section from the boarding place of the train where a user is boarding to an alighting place, and to report it to the user. <P>SOLUTION: In a congestion predicting method, boarding information, which is obtained by an operating part 15 or an information storage part 13 in a user terminal 1 carried by the user and includes the boarding place of the train where the user is boarding, the alighting place, and boarding time and/or a boarding train, is transmitted to the system control part 21 of an information management device 2 via a network 3 together with a report destination information which indicates the destination of the user terminal 1. The system control part 21 stores the boarding information of the user and the report destination information in an information storage part 23 as user unique information, predicts the congestion situation of the train concerning one or the plurality of sections from the boarding place of the user to the alighting place through the use of the boarding information, which is newly acquired as the information of the user to board the train, and the user unique information by each user, which is previously stored in an information storage part 23, and returns a congestion prediction result to the user terminal 1 via the network 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
