PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of more efficiently transferring color image data to a transfer destination than monochromatic image data. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 1 includes: an image read means 3 for reading color image data or monochromatic image data of an original; a setting means 2 for setting a monochromatic data transfer amount when the image data of the original read by the image read means 3 are the monochromatic data or setting a color data setting amount more than the monochromatic data transmission amount when the image data are color data; and a transfer means 17 that transfers the image data whose amount corresponds to the data transfer amount set by the setting means 2 among the image data of the read original to prescribed transfer destinations 8, 9 via a bus 22 in response to one time transfer request DREQ of the image data of the original.
