PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sufficient earthquake resistance in a fuel rack storing a spent fuel assembly, to improve installation work and economy, and to simplify structure. SOLUTION: Excessive vibration is suppressed by providing hangers for connection and support hardware on upper end parts of adjacent fuel racks to connect them, and supporting a horizontal load with respect to seismic force by other fuel racks. Seismic force transmitted from a nuclear power generating facility building is reduced by eliminating fixing to a fuel pool floor or wall, and installing a fuel rack body as it is. Work can be simplified and costs can be reduced by eliminating fixing work using foundation bolts and a common base, and positioning a connection part by the support hardware above the fuel rack.
