PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that much manhour is spent to adjust a gap between guide pins because matching the distance between drive holes on a multilayer board to the gap between guide pins is not easy, and the pins are driven in forcibly when the position of the pin drive holes is not in exact alignment with that of the guide pins, causing damage to the pin drive holes to make the position of the inserted pins out of order, which makes it impossible for an NC machine to carry out precise positioning, resulting in the production of defectives. SOLUTION: A pin driver for the multilayer board is provided with a guide pin slide mechanism via which the position of a guide pin inserter can be slightly shifted. The guide pin inserter is set to give a given gap between the guide pins that corresponds to the position of a pair of the pin drive holes on the multilayer board, and the guide pins are projected on a work table and are fitted into the pin drive holes on the multilayer board.
