PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing apparatus, method, program and storage medium in which photographing conditions in photographing a moving image can be optimally and easily set. SOLUTION: When selecting photographing in a Motion JPEG system and setting photographing conditions, in a photographing apparatus 100, a photographing condition setting picture is displayed on an LCD 115 and when an image size is changed or an audio bit rate is changed, a photographing enabled time displayed for each of sample images is changed. When one sample image is selected out of nine sample images displayed on the LCD 115, photographing conditions of frame rate, compression rate, image size, and audio bit rate corresponding to the selected sample image are set.
