PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact lighting system capable of obtaining excellent light distribution characteristic. SOLUTION: In the lighting system having a light source, and an optical member 8 and a reflection member 7 for turning light from the light source to a radiating direction; the optical member 8 has an incident surface 8a having positive refractive power, an emitting surface 8e having negative refractive power, and reflection surfaces 8c and 8c' reflecting light advancing to a periphery side further than the incident surface 8a from the light source toward the emitting surface 8e, and the reflection member 7 has 1st surfaces 7b and 7b' reflecting the light advancing to the periphery side further than the reflection surfaces 8c and 8c' from the light source, and 2nd surfaces 7c and 7c' reflecting the light from the 1st surfaces 7b and 7b' toward the emitting surface 8e.
