PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic rubber latex for pulp nonwoven fabrics having high wet tensile strength and low free formalin content, in particular a synthetic rubber latex for pulp nonwoven fabrics suitably usable as a binder for paper wet towels. SOLUTION: The synthetic rubber latex for pulp nonwoven fabrics comprises a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a methylol derivative (a) of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid amide, an aliphatic diene monomer (b), a (meth)acrylate monomer (c) whose polymer has a glass transition temperature of 0°C or below, an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid (d), and a vinyl monomer (e) copolymerizable with (a)-(d), wherein the amount of (a) to be used is 0.1-4 wt% of the total weight of (a)-(e) and the amount of (b) to be used is 2-18 wt% of the total weight of (a)-(e).
