PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an inkjet printer which can eliminate an adverse effect on printing quality due to difference in temperature between portions of an inkjet head, corresponding to nozzles. SOLUTION: According to the operation of the inkjet printer, when printing of one print sheet is completed (S18: Yes), an ink quantity (consumption by printing) C consumed by the printing is calculated (S20), and if the consumption C by printing is in excess of a reference consumption C1 (S22: Yes), a delay time D for delaying the next print starting time is set (S24). Thus the inkjet head is naturally cooled in a time period until starting of the next printing, to thereby reduce the difference in temperature between the portions corresponding to the nozzles.
