PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of improving pressure resistance of a header tank and being efficiently manufactured at a relatively low cost. SOLUTION: Each header tank 15 comprises a tank section 18 having a plurality of communication sections 16 and strut sections 17, an end plate section 20 having tube insertion holes 19 into which both ends of tubes 2 are inserted, and an inner plate section 22 that is interposed between the tank section 18 and the end plate section 20 and has through holes 21. The tank section 18 is molded by extruding in a shape where the inner plate section 22 side is opened. Thus, the communication sections 16 of the tank section 18 are exposed to the inner plate section 22 side, so that the communication sections 16 communicate with the inside of the tubes 2 via the through holes 21, and the plurality of communication sections 16 themselves communicate via the through holes 21.
