PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bracket for a door latch capable of having many cases without being required for adjusting a driving cam with a tool (there are many cases needing no adjustment of the driving cam) even if the bracket is equipped with a latch receiving case capable of being adjusted in the opening and closing direction of a door in a strike box. SOLUTION: In the bracket for the door latch mounted to a recess section of a stile of a door frame, the bracket comprises a strike fixed to the stile through a fixture and having a square window-hole, the case-shaped strike box internally put on the recess section 2 of the stile 1 in a state to cover the strike and the latch receiving case internally put on the strike box and capable of being adjusted in the opening and closing direction of the door, and the bracket for the door latch is characterized in that a latch contact section of the latch receiving case on which a vertical engaging surface of the door latch is abutted is formed in a stepped shape toward the opening direction of the door.
