PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold the extremely thin-shaped object to be plated with an satisfactory shape at the time when the object to be plated is moved in a plating bath and is plated, and to apply uniform plating to the surface thereof. SOLUTION: Regarding the vertical type automatic plating method, in a continuous plating method and a device therefor where the extremely thin sheet-shaped object to be plated is sagged, is moved in a plating bath, and is plated, the upper end of the object M to be plated is held with upper clips 5 in a moving type hanger 2, the lower end of the object to be plated is held with lower clips 5 at the lower end side elastically taking a weight balance so as to communicate with the moving type hanger on the upper end side, and, in a state where tension is applied to the object to be plated by the balance between the upper clips and the lower clips, while the object to be plated is moved, plating is applied thereto.
