<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag mouth folding apparatus and a package which ensure the simplification of processes while reducing the use of members employed for manufacturing the package. <P>SOLUTION: The package 500 contains a plurality of lids stacked therein, and a part near the bag mouth of the package 500 is so folded onto the upper face of a lid exposed through the bag mouth as to close 50 to 75% of the opening area of the bag mouth (first folding). Then, one end of a tongue strip of the package 500, which tongue strip is formed by the first folding, is folded (second folding), and a paste 504 is applied to the tongue strip.
