<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical aberration correction apparatus, a spherical aberration correction method, and an optical disk apparatus in which correction of spherical aberration can be performed at high speed without depending on a temperature condition. <P>SOLUTION: When a signal applied to a spherical aberration correction element using liquid crystal is switched from a first signal of first peak voltage to a second signal of second peak voltage being larger than the first peak voltage, it is passed through an intermediate signal. And a response time of the spherical aberration correction element can be held at an appropriate state without depending on a temperature condition by adjusting at least either of peak voltage of this intermediate signal and an applied time based on the spherical aberration correction element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
