<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent for suppressing the accumulation of body fat by lowering blood lipids comprising triglycerides, cholesterol and blood glucose and suppressing obesity and lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes, stenocardia, cerebral infarction, myocardial infarction, arteriosclerosis and hypertension. <P>SOLUTION: This agent for suppressing obesity and lifestyle-related diseases is produced by compounding chitosan with an active component extracted from Cassia mimosoides L. var. nomame Makino belonging to the family Leguminosae with water or an organic solvent such as alcohol and/or an active component extracted from mulberry belonging to the family Moraceae with water or an organic solvent such as alcohol. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
