<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate device for a bicycle parking lot installed in a compact space. <P>SOLUTION: This gate device is provided with a first bar 11 on the front side in the traveling direction of a bicycle passage 2 so as to be swingable in the passage 2 around a first shaft A1, and a second bar 12 on the rear side in the traveling direction of the passage so as to be swingable in the passage 2 around a second shaft A2 different from the first shaft A1. The swingable angle rangeαof the first bar 11 and second bar 12 is 180°or less, and both bars 11, 12 are interlocked such that when one of the first bar 11 and second bar 12 is turned from the closed position into the open position, and the other one is turned from the open position into the closed position. A space for storing only one bicycle is formed between the first bar 11 in the closed position and the second bar 12 in the closed position.
