PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect opened/closed state of a portable collapsible device equipped with an imaging device from the image information of the imaging device, with no mounted special device for detecting opened/closed state of the portable device, and to provide the portable collapsible device equipped with the imaging device for realizing detection. SOLUTION: The portable collapsible device comprises a first case, a second case, and a hinge connecting them, and the hinge allows folding of the first and second cases. A first imaging device for detecting first external image information is provided on the surface of first case which faces the second case when collapsed. The portable collapsible device includes a means for recording a first reference image information which the first imaging device has detected when collapsed, a means for comparing the first external image information with the first reference image information, and a means for judging whether the portable device is collapsed or not based on the comparison between the first external image information and the first reference image information.
