PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual inspection device, and an ultraviolet light lighting system capable of irradiating ultraviolet light on a surface of an inspection target object such that there are no shadows thereon. SOLUTION: An ultraviolet light component irradiated on a semi-transparent mirror 4 via a diffusion plate 3 is guided onto an optical path axis of an image capturing means 6 by a semi-transparent mirror 4 passing one portion of the ultraviolet light component and reflecting other portions. The ultraviolet light reflected by the semi-transparent mirror 4 into a conical surface reflector 5 along the optical path axis of the image capturing means 6 is reflected by the conical surface reflector 5 and irradiated on an outer circumferential surface of the inspection target object 1. The ultraviolet light reflected by the outer circumferential surface of the inspection target object 1 is reflected again by the conical surface reflector 6, and enters the semi-transparent mirror 4. On part of the ultraviolet light entering the semi-transparent mirror 4 passes through and it is guided to the image capturing means 6 in the same way as the ultraviolet light irradiated via the diffusion plate 3.
