PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation dial capable of easily performing damping force adjusting operation even if a mark is not visually confirmed one by one. SOLUTION: This operation dial is composed of a plate 1, a dial body 5 rotatably abutting on an outside surface of the plate 1, a plurality of detent grooves a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h and i separately arranged at the same interval in the circumferential direction on the outside surface side of the plate 1 and formed one by one on the same diameter line, a pair of holes 13 and 14 oppositely formed along the diameter line on the back face side of the dial body 5 and detent balls 4a and 4b freely protrusively inserted and retreat while being energized in the respective holes by a spring 3.
