PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a failed portion when either of a plurality of injectors and either of a plurality of output absorbers are failed. SOLUTION: An ECU 4 is provided with a F/F calculating means 41 for calculating possible output considering absorption torque of each of the output absorbers 2 and a F/B calculating means 42 for calculating F/B amount to correct engine speed NE to predetermined idling speed NEi at the time of idling. When the F/B amount is not 0 at the time of idling of the engine 1, the plurality of injectors are forcibly stopped in sequence, and then the injector of which F/B amount is 0 is detected to identify the failed injector. In the case where failure of the injector cannot be identified, when the specific output absorber 2 (either of an air conditioner 2a, a power steering device 2b, an alternator 2c or the like) is stopped, the output absorber 2 of which F/B amount is 0 is detected to identify the failed output absorber 2.
