PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure detection device for an evaporating fuel treatment device capable of performing more accurate leak diagnosis. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an evaporation system 1 purging evaporation gas generated by evaporation of fuel in a fuel tank 2, a pressure sensor 8 detecting pressure P in the evaporation system 1 including the fuel tank 2, a pressure integration means S15 integrating absolute value of pressure change amount calculated by detected pressure of the pressure sensor 8, and a vent cut valve 5 capable of selectively sealing the evaporation system 1. Also, leak diagnosis means S18-S23 determining whether leak occurs or not based on pressure integration value s calculated under a condition of sealing the evaporation system 1 at a time of stop of an engine 21.
