PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition which gives speakers having excellent tone qualities and has heat resistance enough to be used in the driven portions of the speakers, and to provide a speaker using the adhesive composition. SOLUTION: This adhesive composition comprises polyvinyl butyral resin, a solvent and a clay-like mineral containing silicate as a main component. Preferably, the clay-like mineral has a multi-layered structure, has an average diameter of 100 to 500 nm, when seen from the layer direction, and has each layer thickness of 0.8 to 1.2 nm. The clay-like mineral is preferably treated with an alkyl ammonium salt. The clay-like mineral is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of montmorillonite, saponite and smectite.
