PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing a metal formed product, which are simply constituted and in which a desired volume of slurry being in a desired semi-solidified state is supplied to form the metal formed product having good quality. SOLUTION: After pouring molten metal into a sleeve 26a for producing the slurry from a molten metal pouring hole 38a, an induction coil 42a is driven in a state of holding the molten metal between supplying plungers 34a, 34b, and the semi-solidified slurry is produced by stirring the molten metal with the electromagnetic stirring action. Successively, after supplying the above slurry into an injection sleeve 24 by driving the supplying plungers 34a, 34b, the slurry is injected for formation into a cavity between metallic molds 22a, 22b, with an injection plunger 32.
