PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a rapid-cooled strip and its apparatus with which the rapid-cooled strip having high purity and thickness larger than a prescribed thickness can be mass-produced. SOLUTION: This apparatus for producing the rapid-cooled strip is the one for producing the alloy-made rapid-cooled strip M, e.g. for using a magnet material, such as an amorphous, or a blank for powder producing, such as a hydrogen storage alloy, and comprises: a cold-crucible melting furnace for producing molten alloy by melting at least two kinds of metals; a water-cooling roll 20 for forming the alloy-made rapid-cooled hoop M by solidifying this molten alloy in contact with the molten alloy; and a tundish 25 for supplying the molten alloy produced with the cold-crucible melting furnace into the water-cooling roll 20.
