PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing method of a metal plate by which the productivity of a pressing apparatus is improved, also the cost is reduced and the working accuracy is improved in the pressing method for forming the metal plate with the pressing apparatus. SOLUTION: An upper die member 32 and a lower die member 24 are displaced to the downstream side of the feed of the metal plate W in the state where the upper die member 32 on which an upstream upper punch 32a, an upper recessed part 32b and a downstream upper punch 32c are arranged in this order from the upstream side of the feed of the metal plate W and the lower die member 24 on which an upstream lower punch 24a, a lower recessed part 24b and a downstream lower punch 24c are arranged in this order from the upstream side of the feed of the metal plate W are fit by interposing the metal plate W.
