The cylinder (10) includes a radial clamping channel (11) that houses the movable base body (19) of a clamping system (14). The base body is moved radially outward to the defining surface (24) of the clamping channel to clamp rubber blanket plate (15), and moved radially inward in the opposite direction to release the rubber blanket plate. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a clamping system; and (B) a wide-channel to narrow-channel cylinder converting method.
