The cleaning body (10), especially for pipes, has an outer shell (16) of wires in a woven or knitted structure on a moving support body (12) as a hollow ball. The wires are welded together in zones at the outer surface. The support body is fitted with an intermediate shell (14) of woven or knitted metal wires, before the outer shell is mounted in place.
