The invention relates to a vehicle with a folding roof comprising at least one first roof element and one second roof element (15a, 15b) which are rigid, mobile and adapted in such a way as to cover the passenger compartment of the vehicle in a relative unfolded first position, and can be folded back towards each other in a second position. Said roof elements are interlinked by at least one first articulated element (23a) which guides the relative movements thereof in such a way that, in the first unfolded position, the rear transversal edge of the first roof element and the front transversal edge of the second roof element are essentially brought into contact, the second roof element also comprising at least one second articulated element (23b, 23c) such that it can be articulated in relation to the frame (3) of the vehicle. The first roof element respectively comprises first and second reversible locking means (33a, 33b) towards the front and rear transversal edges (19a, 19b) thereof, the second reversible locking means being engaged with complementary locking means arranged towards the front edge of the second roof element, when they are locked in the first unfolded position of the roof.
