<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent air bubble in a tank circulation circuit by reducing the number of piping parts. <P>SOLUTION: A hot water storage type water heater has: a hot water storage tank 2, a water supply pipe 3 for supplying water to the hot water storage tank 2, a hot water pipe 5 for feeding hot water of the hot water storage tank 2, a water supply branch pipe 3b, a mixing valve 16 for mixing water of the water supply branch pipe 3b and hot water of the hot water supply pipe 5, a mixing hot water supply pipe 17 for feeding mixed hot water, an open close valve 18 of the mixing hot water supply pipe 17, a tank circulation circuit 6 for taking out stored hot water of the hot water storage tank 2 and returning it, a tank circulation pump 8, a bathtub water circulation circuit 11 for taking water in a bathtub 10 and returning it, a bathtub water circulation pump 12, a heat exchanger 7 for heat exchange between the stored hot water of the tank circulation circuit 6 and the bathtub water of the bathtub water circulation circuit 11, a controlling part 50 for controlling the tank circulation pump 8, the bathtub water circulation pump 12, the mixing valve 16 and the open close valve 18.
