PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the transmission at a high speed of a down communication while ensuring an antenna radiation efficiency under use conditions in which a folding type portable wireless equipment is held by the hand of a user. SOLUTION: Tabular conductors 1, 3 and 4 are arranged in the longitudinal direction on the rear of a display unit 35 for an upper case 5. The signal of a transmission circuit 25 is divided by a power divider 18. One signal is fed to the tabular conductor 1 through a phase shifter 17, and the other signal is fed to the tabular conductor 3 or the tabular conductor 4 through a transmission-reception sharing apparatus 20 or the transmission-reception sharing apparatus 21 from a high-frequency switch 19. The high-frequency switch 19 is changed over and fed to either one of the tabular conductor 3 or the tabular conductor 4 by a selective changeover by the signal from a gravity sensor 26. A receiving signal is extracted by the transmission-reception sharing apparatus 20 and the transmission-reception sharing apparatus 21, amplified by a receiving circuit 22 and the receiving circuit 23, and multiplied by a specified weighting factor and synchronized by a demodulating section 24.
