PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound generation device of a vehicle capable of generating a sound, etc. to a passenger in a state that a door is closed when the passenger gets into or out of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The sound generation device comprises a sound generation means that generates a sound, a sound generation control means that controls the generation of the sound by the sound generation device, and a door opening/closing detection means that detects the opening/closing of the vehicle's door. The sound generation device is characterized in that when the opening of the door is detected by the door opening/closing detection means, supply of electrical power to the sound generation device is turned on, and when the closing of the door is detected by the door opening/closing detection means, the sound generation means is made to generate a sound by the sound generation control means.
