PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm device with small power consumption for making it unnecessary to provide any ultrasonic wave receiving part or any infrared ray receiving part by receiving a radio wave from an object by a radio part, and performing distance measurement from the object only by the radio part without performing distance measurement by using any ultrasonic wave or infrared ray. SOLUTION: This alarm system 100 is provided with an alarm device 4 carried by operators 3a and 3b and an alarm device 2 for a machine arranged in a working machine 1a. The alarm device 2 for machinery transmits a specific code for measuring reception strength. The alarm device 4 of the operators 3a and 3b store the reception strength in the boundary of the setting range as a reference value. The alarm device 4 compares the reference value with the reception strength of the received specific code. Then, when the reception strength is larger than the reference value, it is decided that the operators are present inside the setting range, and warning is issued. Also, both the warning and an alarm signal are transmitted to the alarm device 2 for the machine to let it know that the operators are present in the setting range. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
