PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate speed of convergence to the maximum light quantity point in an alignment method for aligning two or more optical components among each other, an alignment program, and an aligning device. SOLUTION: In the alignment method of optical components for determining an optimal position where the quantity of light becomes maximum, by sequentially positioning two or more optical components at light quantity measuring points and measuring a quantity of light made incident from one optical component to another optical component, an alignment process is carried out by setting a distance between a first light quantity measuring point and the following light quantity measuring point to a large prescribed distance, when the quantity of light at the first light quantity measuring point is less than a prescribed light quantity; and by setting the distance between the first light quantity measuring point and the following light quantity measuring point to a small prescribed distance when the quantity of light at the first light quantity measuring point is not less than the prescribed light quantity.
