PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot for an MT connector, in which the MT connector for a coated optical fiber having the conventional outer diameter of 0.25mm can be used for an optical fiber tape unit that uses a coated optical fiber, having a large diameter that is equal to or greater than the outside diameter of 0.25mm. SOLUTION: The boot for the MT connector is used to mount the optical fiber tape unit on the MT connector and has a tapered section (14) which changes the array pitch of the coated optical fiber.
