PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a plurality of actions such as detaching an exterior cover are required and a document pressing seat is folded, so that a document can not be tightly in contact with a transparent glass platen because of folding when exposing the inside of a document feeder used for an image forming device or the like from the downside for maintenance. SOLUTION: An approximately overall area of a lower surface of the document feeder 2 provided in an upper portion of the image forming device is formed from an opening/closing bottom plate 25, and a lower surface of the bottom plate 25 is a pressing plane for pressing a document. Furthermore, the bottom plate 25 can be turned with a supporting point 25a as a center, and is engaged with a main body 21 of the document feeder by a document feeding path lower surface member 71. One end of the document feeding path lower surface member 71 is supported on the main body 21 of the document feeder so as to be turned and a pin 71a provided in the other end is engaged so as to be slid into a groove 25c of a side wall 25b provided in a turning end of the bottom plate 25, so that the document feeding path lower surface member 71 can be opened simultaneously when the bottom plate 25 is opened.
