PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing structure for a pump capable of improving durability, by exhibiting a superior sliding characteristic even under an operation condition exposed to slurry water, by exhibiting the superior sliding characteristic in dry operation of the pump. SOLUTION: A bearing 21 is composed of a plurality of segments 20. The respective segments 20 are composed of a base material 20A composed of cemented carbide, and a diamond sintered body layer 20B formed on this base material 20A. An inner surface (a surface) of the diamond sintered body layer 20B is formed into a sliding surface sliding in a sleeve 25 having a sliding surface composed of the cemented carbide fixed to a pump main shaft (a rotary shaft) 24.
