PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely simple structure that allows for surely preventing the tension that is imparted to the endless belt by tightening the adjuster bolt from excessively being tightened in a tension adjusting device in which one of a plurality of pulleys on which an endless belt 6 is wound or a tension pulley which is in contact with the endless belt is constructed such as to move in the direction that strengthens or weakens the tension of endless belt by meas of a guide 10 which is mounted to an adjuster bracket 8 to cause the pulleys to move along the guide by turning an adjusting bolt 15 which is mounted between a bolt inserting section 13 which is provided to the adjuster bracket 8 and the pulley. SOLUTION: Provided to the adjuster bracket 8 is a plastically deformed section that causes the bolt inserting section 13 to be displaced in the direction that weakens the tension of the endless belt when the tension of the endless belt has exceeded a predetermined value during tightening the adjuster bolt 15.
