<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine for realizing overall height reduction. <P>SOLUTION: This ignition coil for an internal combustion engine is provided with an iron core which a primary coil and a secondary coil are wound around, arranged concentrically, and formed with a magnetic path at the center. The secondary coil is wound around a bobbin for the secondary coil constituted of insulating materials configured of a plurality of grooves and a flange segmenting the grooves and a hollow cylinder. The bobbin for the secondary coil is configured by uniformly forming the flange height at the upper side. Thus, it is possible to reduce the height of the ignition coil for an internal combustion engine by reducing the flange height of the bobbin for the secondary coil. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
