<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower limb fixing device capable of holding the lower limbs in a lateral recumbent position and also capable of holding the lower limb to be operated stably during a hip joint surgery. <P>SOLUTION: The lower limb fixing device 10 comprises a base plate 16 to be fixed on an operating table, a flat top plate 18 arranged separately above the base plate 16 and extending from the hip joint side of a patient to the leading edge of the lower limb, and a plurality of support legs 20 arranged on the base plate 16 for supporting the top plate 18. One of the lower limbs of the patient is inserted into and fixed within the space formed between the base plate 16 and the top plate 18, and the other lower limb of the patient is held on the top plate 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
