<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boron nitride powder capable of improving heat radiation property of a resin, etc., a composition incorporating it in a resin, etc., and a heat radiating material for an electronic part comprising the composition. <P>SOLUTION: This boron nitride powder has in its frequency distribution of particle diameter a maximum B in the region of 5-30 μm and a maximum A in the region of 100-300 μm. Wherein the ratio of the frequency of the maximum A to the frequency of the maximum B ä(frequency of maximum A/frequency of maximum B)} is preferably 1-10.
