PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable with identification information in which the function of an IC tag does not have a trouble even if the intermediate portion of an antenna is cut. SOLUTION: The cable is provided with an IC chip 14 arranged at a prescribed location on the surface of a cable 12, and an antenna 16 which is arranged at a prescribed location on the surface of the cable 12 connected to the connector of an IC chip 14. The antenna 16 is installed in a straight line in the longitudinal direction of the cable with a length over a desired length. The IC chip 14 and its antenna 16 which constitute an IC tag are installed throughout the total length of the cable 12, and thereby, when the cable 12 is used by cutting in part, the antenna 16 is also cut together with the cable 12.
