PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay which prevents wear and tear due to the arc generated by the bouncing between both contacts without increasing the size of fixed contact and movable contact. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic relay is composed of fixed contact parts 40, 41 fitted to housings 21, 22; movable contact parts 45, 46 which are supported by the housings capable of contacting and separating from the fixed contact parts; exciting means 30, 60, 61 which make the movable contact parts contact the fixed contact parts by electromagnetic action; and a damper means 65 which adds a damping force to the movable contact part in the direction opposite to the approaching direction to the fixed contact part.
