PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting leakage of a liquid, which can quickly and easily detect the leakage of the liquid, by simple constitution. SOLUTION: A suspension member 19 is stretched between a float 21 upwardly and downwardly moved according to the height position of the surface of the liquid L in a tank 4 and a rotational member 16 attached to the upper part of the tank 4. The rotational member 16 is rotated via the suspension member 19, in response to the movement of the float 21. The rotational amount of the rotational member 16 is detected by a rotational amount detection means 17, and it is determined whether the leakage of the liquid O arises or not, on the basis of the rotational amount.
