PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tripod constant velocity universal joint having improved durability. SOLUTION: Raceway grooves 3, 8 are provided in both sides of a guide block 6 supported by a leg shaft 5 of a tripod member 4 and in the side face of an outer ring track groove 2, and a plurality of balls 9 incorporated between the raceway grooves 3, 8 are held by a cage 10. A central portion of a lever 31 is rockingly supported on a plate portion 10a of the cage 10, guide grooves 35 are formed in both ends of the lever 31, and a pin 33 provided on the side of an outer ring 1 and a pin 34 provided on the guide block 6 are inserted into the guide grooves 35. The sizes of clearances formed between the guide groove 35 and each of the pins 33, 34 are in a range of 0-0.5 mm, thus improving the durability. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
