PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manhole pit which prevents spilling of oil out of a pit by enhancing the anticorrosion and nondamage of the pit, prevents damage to an underground tank due to a load on a manhole, and is adapted to correspond to various layouts of equipment in an oiling station. SOLUTION: The manhole pit (MP) comprises the pit (P) which is mounted to encircle a riser (1) of the underground tank (T), and the manhole (M) which is arranged to be separated from the pit (P). The pit (P) is made of FRP (fiber reinforced plastics), and consists of a lower body (2) mounted on the top of the underground tank (T), a middle body (3) mounted on the lower body (2), in which middle body (3) in which a transverse pipe (L) connected to the riser (1) is inserted, an upper body (4) mounted on the middle body (3), and a lid (5) covering an upper opening of the upper body (4). The manhole (M) is made of iron, and is composed of a frame (14) arranged to be separated from the upper body (4) of the pit (P), and a lid (15) covering an upper opening of the frame (14).
