The present invention discloses a method for interconnecting digital group system and public telephone network, including aspects of calling telephone station initiating a group call, called telephone station joining in a group call, telephone station applying for the right to talk, telephone station releasing the right to talk, telephone station quitting the group call initiatively, etc. The present invention overcomes the disadvantages of the digital group system in the prior art, such as smallness in application range, great difficulty in implementing the technical skill and great complexity in controlling the system. The present invention can extend the application range of the digital group sysmtem, simplify the difficulty in implementing the technical skill and the complexity in controlling the system. It solves the problems fo r telephone station in participating in the group call.
