A displacement pump comprises: a cylinder with at least one end wall and a piston movable reciprocally therein by drive means. In co-action with valve means, liquid can hereby be drawn in and pumped. The reciprocal driving of the piston is realized in that the piston is provided with a central, coaxial, non-round continuous hole, through which a correspondingly formed drive shaft extends. The rotating drive power of this drive shaft is converted into the reciprocal movement of the piston by converting means, comprising a groove which is present in the piston wall and which co-acts with a protrusion fitting therein and present on the cylinder wall or on the piston wall. The groove has a wave shape such that said conversion takes place effectively. The valve means are embodied as respective rotating discs with edge recesses which co-act with the inlet opening and the outlet opening. A hydraulic motor is constructed in similar manner but has reverse operation, i.e. the non-round shaft serving as output shaft is driven rotatably with force due to alternating feed of medium under pressure.
|
